Have already made 3 cups, absolutely delicious coffee each timeI own a Keurig, which I love, for the convenience, the variety of choices (coffee, decaf, flavored, cocoa, tea, just hot water). A perfectly brewed, tasty, not bitter, not burnt tasting, fast & oh so very easy cup of Coffee. Easy to use. Easy set up. So all these pounds of coffee from : Jamaica, Hawaii, Switzerland, etc. I used to just use a regular coffee machine, make a pot, and it was fine.
Except I was always having to throw out some from each pot. When that finally died, I solely used my Keurig. I just received this today. Filters are re-usable, and you use your own mug. I either overfilled (a mess) or under-filled (weak) but never could find the perfect fill.This AeroPress is my miracle answer. Oh I will still use my Keurig multiple times per day, love my prefilled kcup varieties, in fact, I will be using it even more since the hot water from my Keurig is the perfect temperature for my new Aeropress and it is always hot, ready and available.The AeroPress has such an easy clean up (seconds to push out the grinds, and rinse off), is so very fast (maybe 30 seconds to a finished cup when you have hot water available) and no fuss. PERFECTION.I recommend this HIGHLY.
I needed something to just brew one cup at a time without a lot of fuss. However, I travel a lot and buy coffee from wherever I am. Cost effective. were just waiting. Keurig has the k-cup which you can fill w/ your own coffee, but it never quite worked right for me. Fair pricing and with Amazon's free shipping over 25, can't be beat. Perfect cup of coffee cannot be beat.
I am giving it as gifts for Christmas this year. This AeroPress is so simple and easy to use I wish I would have thought of it. The best part besides the taste of the coffee is how easy it is to clean. The only thing that is somewhat awkward and prevents a 5 star is the difficulty in pressing down of the plunger. The photo suggests that just your four fingers, no you need the heal of your hand to push it down.
I enjoy coffee, and I am the only one in my household who does so. The AeroPress is wonderful for a single cup of perfectly brewed coffee. Its quick, easy, results in a superior cup and relatively no clean up. I still keep a regular coffee maker for when friends are over but my daily intake comes from AeroPress.
Frankly I was surprised how true the reviews were. It only makes 4 shots of espresso at a time (4 cups of coffee if you add water), but that's fine by me. That means any flavor, just fairly finely ground. It really makes espresso, which is done as real espresso is- with pressure. It's also easy to clean but isn't supposed to go in the dishwasher. To make american coffee, you basically water it down, I prefer to add hot milk to make a latte. It is great. It works best with an espresso-ground bean.
My fiance is a barista himself, and he even approves of the taste. But i've been able to figure it out quite easily, too. I prefer the dark roasts myself.Eventually you will need to buy more filters too. Enjoy.
We are very very happy with the AeroPress, it is very simple to use and it makes a great cup of coffee out of the crappiest coffee. I recommend this item to everyone and I am ready to buy one for work.
